Blocks
Precast Aerated Concrete (PAC) comes in many forms to be used in all building elements. PAC Blocks are 600 mm long and 250 mm high. Thickness ranges from 75 mm to 300 mm. This large format allows them to be laid quicker than standard concrete blocks. They are jointed with only 2 mm - 3 mm of thin cement adhesive, so straight and accurate walls can be achieved quickly. The blocks are easily cut and shaped with carpentry tools. PAC provides the contractor with the "Power of Speed". At only one quarter of the weight of conventional concrete, PAC is not only easy for the contractor to place, it can save tremendous amounts on support structure costs, by eliminating or reducing the size of piles, foundation, columns, beams and reinforcing. PAC Blocks can be used as load bearing walls for two to three storey buildings, or as non – load bearing infill walls for multi-level structures.
PAC Lintels
PAC block walls are completed by the inclusion of PAC lintels. These reinforced panels are designed to span over windows and doors. They are fast to install and ensure even absorption of coatings across the whole wall surface. No more time consuming "cast-in-situ" concrete work.
PAC Horizontal Panels
PAC Panels are 600 mm wide and up to 6 meters long. They can be used horizontally as a cladding to steel or concrete framed structures, such as warehouses, commercial and industrial buildings. The large panels are lightweight, so smaller frames can be used. The fire, sound and thermal insulation provided by PAC is ideal for these structures.
PAC Vertical Panels
Installing the PAC Panels vertically with a reinforced grout-filled core between each panel allows them to be used as a load bearing wall without the need for a supporting columns. This is ideal for longer walls without openings, such as inter-tenancy partitions within low-rise buildings such as villas. Each panel is installed in minutes, so the benefits of speed construction are enhanced by using these large panels.
PAC Floor and Roof slabs
PAC slabs are ideal for creating a lightweight, insulating floor between levels. Use PAC floors wherever you need excellent acoustic performance, thermal insulation and the highest possible fire ratings. Conventional concrete floors and roofs can add a great deal of extra weight to a building, so using light weight PAC slabs can reduce support structure sizes and cost. PAC Floor and Roof slabs are quickly and easily lifted into place with a small crane mounted lifting cradle. The slabs can be supported at each end on either block walls, steel or concrete beams. The edge grooves in the slabs allow reinforcing bars to be laced all around them and grouted into place - without the need for a wet poured topping. This enables construction of walls over the floor the very next day.
PAC Stairs
Stairs can be made from our specially reinforced PAC panels. These stairs perform well acoustically and can be built into a PAC structure, whilst the PAC blocks are being laid. Curved or unusual shaped stairs can be made from standard PAC floor slabs and cut on site, to fit any design.
